Written by Lead Investigator Doug Hogate:
As the JUMPS team arrived at this location, it was obvious the amount of work that lied ahead of the team. During the initial tour, the client described several claims, such as voices, unusual feelings, and visuals throughout the entire house. The client also explained that a paranormal group had investigated the place and recorded two EVP's. Immediately following the tour, the team began setting up three night vision IR cameras in the attic, at the end of the second floor hallway, and a bedroom located on the second floor.
When night arrived, lead investigators Doug & Rick began investigating the attic, while investigators Kelly and Kirsten began on the first floor. Using electromagnetic field reader, thermometer, and digital voice recorder, the lead investigators swept the entire area looking for fluctuations that could cause anyone spending a lot of time there to feel uneasy. During the time spent there, an EVP session was conducted. During the session, while lead investigator Rick was sitting on a pile of shingles, it felt as though someone kicked them from under him, causing him to fall backwards on the floor. After trying to recreate the incident, it was determined that the shingles were very stable and it was difficult to test to see if Rick may have slipped naturally.
Throughout the night, besides the incident in the attic, the team had personal experiences of noises being heard throughout the rooms of objects being moved and footsteps.
As the investigation was coming close to an end, the team separated throughout the house to spend alone time to see if they could capture evidence. While lead investigator Doug was spending time in a room where there was a claim of someone standing at the end of the bed, investigator Kelly called him into the bedroom she was in to observe her experience. Kelly was using an EMF detector that blinked when the EMF levels reached a certain level. She noticed, while alone, that when asking questions, the meter would blink several times and stop. She noticed the consistancy every time she asked a question. After observing the phenomena, Doug suggested Kelly to have the entity make the device blink once for YES and twice for NO. Kelly began answering yes or no questions, and it answered that way from that point forward. Every team member came to the room one at a time to observe what Kelly was experiencing. A family member of the client even went to the room to see the experience for himself. While lead investigator Rick was observing, he took a temperature reading in the chair that Kelly was sitting in front of. Kelly asked if whoever she was speaking to could adjust the temperature because she was cold. The initial temperature reading in the room was between 50 and 55 degrees. The temperature around Kelly raised to 70 and it was felt by both Kelly and Rick. NO HEAT WAS ON THROUGHOUT THE ENTIRE INVESTIGATION.
After an hour and a half of recording the possible conversation, the team packed up after a long night and reviewed the evidence. Here are the findings of the investigation:
