The first investigation of the Eagles club in Salem City, NJ consisted of several interesting claims. The layout of the building is made up of a bar and meeting room on the first floor and a banquet hall with kitchen and pantry area on the second floor. Half of the building is made up of a 3 story hotel layout. This area has not been renovated in several years, giving it a "run down" look.

Members of the club and employees claim that noises and uneasy feelings occur throughout the entire building. One claim is that on two occassions a face was seen looking though glass of a door to the stairway of the banquet hall. Other claims are the uneasy feelings that individuals experience when in the old hotel area.

The team set up wireless night vision cameras on each floor of the hotel area to attempt to capture any movement of possible spirits that may be walking the halls. Another camera was set up overseeing the entire banquet hall to capture any movement as well. A digital recorder was also set up in the banquet hall to capture any audio.

After investigating the location for 6 hours, each team had their own personal experience. Lead Investigator Doug Hogate felt a tug on his shirt while sitting on the stairway in the old hotel section leading to the third floor. After checking for nails or other objects sticking out from the floor boards and checking for drafts to attempt to find a reason for the tug, lead investigators Doug & Rick were unable to find an alternative reason for the tugging. Another occurrence in the old hotel area was the fluctuations of EMF readings. Since that section was not powered by electricity and brass was not anywhere to be found, it made the readings interesting. In the banquet hall, there were tables and chairs set up for an event that was scheduled for the following day. While sitting during an EVP session, the sound of a chair sliding slightly on the floor was heard somewhere in the hall.

After reviewing the evidence, three EVP's were found. Each one was recorded in the banquet hall. Two were recorded from the digital recorder set up next to the night vision camera and the other was recorded on the digital recorder being held by lead investigator Doug.
